Information and Pricing

If you would like to commission a portrait, you are welcome to email or snail mail me photo(s) and I will let you know if I think I can work from them. I will return all photos to you. Several photos of your pet or person are very helpful, if more than one is available. Well-lit photos where I can see eyes and expression are key to a successful portrait. I often will make suggestions on composition and size, but ultimately it is up to you.
*As of January 2008, I am accepting commissions on a limited basis. If you need a portrait for a specific occasion, please contact me several months in advance.

Frames:
I am now working exclusively with my trusted and talented framer Becky (Becky's Frame Studio, Bedford, NH). We have chosen a gorgeous frame moulding with 2 stain choices that compliment my work and are suitable for almost any decor. The moulding is 1 1/4" in width and 3/4" in depth. The stain choices are a cherry or espresso(almost black). Framing includes mat, frame, dustcover and UV glass.
* Please allow an additional 3 weeks production time for orders that include framing.

Materials:
I use a variety of high quality watercolors and watercolor pencils on Fabriano 140lb Hot Press Watercolor paper. I have been experimenting with gouache and casein and use these mediums as well.

Shipping:
I ship USPS Priority with shipping confirmation. Insurance is optional.
For shipping framed artwork, there is an additional $5.00 handling fee. Shipping costs vary depending on size, weight and location. I will calculate shipping when ready to ship.

Terms:
When I have completed your painting, I will send you a proof via email or PM, once you okay it, you can send me a check, Money order or use Pay Pal.
When you commission/purchase an original signed watercolor from me, you own the original painting, and I retain all copyrights as the artist to reproduce the painting in any form. It cannot be reproduced in any way without my permission.
I work on commissions in the order that I receive workable photos. Turnaround times vary depending on size of my waiting list. I will give an estimated delivery time when your order is placed. Generally it is about an 8 week turnaround time. Thanks again for your interest. Oh yes, the most important thing, if you are not completely satisfied you may return the painting for a full refund within 14 days of receipt.
